Homes for Heroes
SEPTEMBER 11, 2023Here at 18 Land Company, we are committed to giving back to our community. The Homes for Heroes program is our way of serving and saying thank you to those people who do so much to make our great community what it is today. Our community heroes – firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, military (active, reserves, retired), healthcare professionals and teachers – tirelessly serve and sacrifice for us. We feel the right thing to do is to give back and say thank you in a meaningful and positive way.
Kathy Peterson, of 18 Land Company, is an affiliate of Homes for Heroes, Inc. which is the largest nationwide network of affiliate real estate, mortgage, and local business specialists who are committed to providing easy ways for heroes to save on a home. Heroes can receive a rewards check as our way of saying thank you! Heroes receive $700 for every $100,000 (whether buying or selling a home). For example, on a $350,000 home purchase, the Hero will receive a check for $2,450.
Shortly after 9/11, Homes for Heroes, Inc. was established to give back to firefighters, EMS, law enforcement, military (active, reserves & veterans), healthcare professionals and teachers for all they do. Since 2009, Homes for Heroes, Inc., has helped over 60,000 heroes save over $100 million on their real estate transactions. They have sold over $15 billion in real estate to heroes by actively partnering with 4,400 like-minded real estate and mortgage professionals who’ve joined in the mission, and donated over $1.2 million to heroes in need through the Homes for Heroes Foundation.

Kathy says she has teamed up with Homes for Heroes for many reasons… “I watch my son put his life on the line every day in law enforcement; I watch relatives and friends put their lives on the line in military settings; I have watched family and friends teach18 hour days through the COVID pandemic; I have watched friends in the medical field work 20+ hours a day during and after the COVID pandemic. These heroes are the backbone of our communities and I want to do what I can to make the real estate process as smooth as possible for them”.
